Our Story.
In 2018, Helsel’s Lawn Care was founded in Claysburg, PA by Zach and Cody Helsel. The two brothers, who were pursuing their own careers in physical therapy and working at the local plumber’s union, saw the opportunity to turn the family name into a renowned family business. They successfully transformed an evening side hustle into a hardworking 7-man crew, servicing Blair and Bedford County, and offering a variety of quality services in the landscaping industry.
What started out as cutting stripes in the yard and trimming shrubs, quickly expanded into designing and installing fully functional outdoor spaces. This includes, but is not limited to: walls, patios, and fireplaces, surrounded by an elegant array of flowers and shrubbery embedded in fresh mulch or decorative stone. While continuing to provide quality maintenance services, installation projects have become a standard. The company then adopted the current name Helsel Bros Outdoor Services to match the new and expanding services that the brothers were now able to offer. Their team of professionals is equipped with the proper training and tools necessary for projects of all sizes and difficulties. They are continuously evolving and creating systems to better serve their customers and their community.
From day one, the brothers’ mission has been about establishing a family-oriented business that upholds the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and workmanship, all while creating lasting relationships with their customers.
